The National Theatre Company of China (NTCC) is the state performing arts organization of the People’s Republic of China. It was founded on Dec 25th, 2001 combining former China National Youth Theatre and China National Experimental Theatre.
With a number of talents in performing arts, NTCC offers a platform where tradition meets modernity and state-of-the-art performance is pursued to nurture theatrical masterpieces.
NTCC takes it as its own duty to create and perform both Chinese and foreign dramas of excellence and good taste by exploring both classical and experimental forms of theatrical arts, so that audiences are able to enjoy the advanced theatrical cultural achievements of China as well as the whole world.
With the establishment and improvement of a scientific and creative art management system, the company is dedicated to exploring new development forms and areas of dramatic art, and endeavors to offer an open stage for talented artists and to produce more artists, more plays and more masterpieces.
The president of NTCC is Zhou Zhiqiang, with vice-president including Yan Fengqi (also the secretary of the company’s Party Committee), Wang Xiaoying, Zha Mingzhe and Shi Lifen.
